UK-based international payment services provider VocaLink has established a partnership with eWise, a global provider of online payments and online financial management services, to launch a new alternative online payments service in the UK.

Under the deal, the partners aim to integrate their payment platforms, namely VocaLink’s Immediate Payments platform and the eWise Online Banking ePayments (OBeP) network, to provide UK-based financial institutions with a service that enables real-time consumer authentication, validation of sufficient funds and a guaranteed payment to the merchant.

VocaLink is a provider of transaction services to banks, corporate customers as well as government departments. VocaLink processes domestic and international automated payments and provides ATM switching solutions.
