US payments processor 2000Charge has unveiled a smart button dubbed 'Alternative Payments' which allows merchants to offer their potential customers 15 alternative payment options.
The 2000Charge Alternate Payment Smart Button allows merchants to install a single smart button with one line of code onto any join page and begin accepting payment methods such as iDEAL, giropay, YellowPay, DirectPay, American Express and Discover cards. The smart button automatically identifies the customer's country and with one click provides the client's local payment method.
In February 2009, 2000Charge added Dutch online payment method iDEAL to the company's services offering.
