AVG Technologies selects GlobalCollect to facilitate online payments Tuesday 26 January 2010 | 12:42 PM CET

International security software company AVG has selected GlobalCollect, a Netherlands-based e-payment services provider, to facilitate electronic payments in the 167 countries where AVG software is available.

Under the terms of the deal, AVG will leverage GlobalCollect’s Merchant Link solution, which gives AVG control over the shopping cart and check out procedure while providing access to GlobalCollect’s portfolio of local, alternative and international payment methods. AVG will also implement GlobalCollect’s fraud screening service, which incorporates fraud reduction tools.

GlobalCollect is a payment services provider of local e-payment solutions for international Customer Not-Present (CNP) channels such as internet, mail and telephone orders, and specialized in a wide range of industries such as travel, ticketing, telecommunications, retail, publishing, portals, online gaming, and digital content. The company has recently has opened a fourth regional office to service the Latin American market.
