K'NEX integrates with Virtual Piggy's parent-approved purchasing system Tuesday 24 January 2012 | 12:50 PM CET

US-based construction toy company K’NEX has entered an agreement with Virtual Piggy, a technology platform provider, to provide the Virtual Piggy service integrated with knex.com.

K'NEX Brands is a privately held company focusing on building integrated construction systems for children, including Mario Kart Wii, Sesame Street, NASCAR, Top Gear, Monster Jam. The company’s products are distributed in more than 30 countries.

VirtualPiggy enables online businesses to function in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international children’s privacy laws. Virtual Piggy delivers a technology platform that manages the global online market for children under 18. This technology enables the Under 18 audience to play, transact and socialize in an online environment guided by parental permission.
