Moneybookers integrates payments service with Magento e-commerce platform Wednesday 20 January 2010 | 10:57 AM CET

European online payments systems provider Moneybookers has announced the official integration of its payment and merchant services as a core module in the upcoming Version 1.4 of the Open Source Magento eCommerce platform.

As a result of this integration, Magento merchants will be able to provide customers with access to range of payment and banking options globally, with over 80 local payment choices in over 200 countries, including the Moneybookers e-wallet. The e-wallet enables any customers to make online payments without revealing personal financial information, as well as to send and receive money by using an email address.

In November 2009, the company made a new prepaid card available, enabling cardholders to access the funds in their Moneybookers e-wallet directly at ATMs displaying the MasterCard mark.
