Europe's online payments systems provider Moneybookers has made a new prepaid card available, enabling cardholders to access the funds in their Moneybookers e-wallet directly at ATMs or POS displaying the MasterCard mark.

Available in GBP, EUR, USD and PLN currencies, Moneybookers MasterCard synchronises automatically with the funds in the customer’s Moneybookers e-wallet, enabling cardholders to shop both online and offline and businesses to pay their suppliers. The card also offers parents the possibility to load money onto the card for their children who are away from home. According to statistics released by a Forrester study, by 2012, transactions made via alternative payment methods will account for 30 percent of all online transactions. Moneybookers provides businesses with access to more than 80 payment options in over 200 countries.
