mopay adds broadband billing to carrier billing platform Thursday 22 December 2011 | 11:11 AM CET

Global provider of online payment services mopay has extended its product offering via broadband billing.

The newly introduced alternative billing channel allows online merchants to charge purchases directly to consumers' internet service provider accounts. mopay's broadband billing option combines the new billing method with other payments methods.

Following the integration, mopay has extended its portfolio of payment options to enable consumers to charge purchases via any communications account, which currently includes mobile and landline devices.

Consumers who want to use mopay’s broadband billing need to select their internet service provider and log into their existing account, without providing their credit card number or other financial information.

mopay is part of the MindMatics group and is active in 80 countries, providing over 3.3 billion consumers worldwide with mobile payments.
