MusicSkins partners Virtual Piggy to offer youth purchasing system Tuesday 31 January 2012 | 01:26 PM CET

MusicSkins, a manufacturer of vinyl skin products, has entered a partnership with  Virtual Piggy, a technology platform provider, to enable children to make online purchases in a parent controlled, parent monitored, COPPA compliant environment.

VirtualPiggy enables online businesses to function in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international children’s privacy laws. Virtual Piggy delivers a technology platform that manages the global online market for children under 18. This technology enables the uUnder 18 audience to play, transact and socialize in an online environment guided by parental permission.

MusicSkins allows users to put their favourite group, character or own creation on over 350 consumer electronics including Nintendo DSi, iPhone, gaming console and controller, iPad, Rock Hero guitar, personal computer.

In recent news, US-based construction toy company K’NEX has entered an agreement with Virtual Piggy to integrate the latter’s technology platform with knex.com.
