PayLane becomes a certified American Express partner Wednesday 25 January 2012 | 03:19 PM CET

PayLane, a European online payments provider, has become a certified American Express partner.

As a result, PayLane clients who accept payments via AmEx cards will no longer have to apply for a merchant account with another acquiring bank.. Via this collaboration, additional fees imposed by acquiring banks will be eliminated.

In addition, the new status will enable PayLane to upgrade its list of payment methods and implement new services.

PayLane processes payments in various currencies from over 50 countries and it is an officially registered Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal partner and Level 1 PCI DSS compliant.
