PayPal has revealed plans to expand its operations across Ireland via a government-sponsored deal praised by Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny.
Currently, the PayPal’s Irish location from Dublin employs about 1,500 people and it is expected to hire another 1,000 persons over the next four years.
In Ireland, multinationals provide almost 5 percent of jobs and generate almost 20 perrcent of gross domestic product.
PayPal allows customers to send and receive payments on the internet in 24 currencies. Currently, there are 42 PayPal accounts in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Most recently, PayPal has been added as a payment method by US newspaper Daily Press.
