PayPal X Innovate 2009: Payvment launches e-commerce application for Facebook via PayPal`s API Thursday 5 November 2009 | 08:58 AM CET

Payvment, an online shopping cart technologies developer, has rolled out an e-commerce application which allows for the creation of a retail store on Facebook.

The application makes use of PayPal’s Adaptive Payments APIs and is built on the company’s shopping cart Web service that turns any online page into an e-commerce page. Customers can now make purchases from multiple storefronts throughout Facebook, paying with a single checkout using PayPal.

Part of the PayPal X platform, the Adaptive Payments API provides developers with full access to PayPal’s features, as well as more capabilities to develop applications, including accepting and distributing payments.
