PlaySpan expands into new markets with its Ultimate Game Card Thursday 18 February 2010 | 10:17 AM CET

PlaySpan, a provider of monetization solutions for online games, virtual worlds and social networks has made the Ultimate Game Card available to customers in South Africa, Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Taiwan.

As a result of the company's agreement with Opengate, a supplier of products and services to the gift and prepaid card markets, South African customers will be able to buy the Ultimate Game Card in over 1,000 retail stores. In Taiwan, PlaySpan has teamed up with a retail network of Game Cafes/Internet Cafes for the distribution of its prepaid game card to over 5,000 retail locations and hundreds of Internet cafes.

The Ultimate Game Card is a prepaid payment method for gamers who do not have a credit card, providing access to services in the gaming world and social networks. The prepaid game card is now available in over 70,000 international retail locations in Brazil, Canada, Portugal, Philippines, Turkey and the US. Consumers can use the card to pay for content in over 300 multiplayer games and more than 700 games on Facebook and MySpace.
