US digital micro-transactions and payments services provider PlaySpan unveils the Spare Change Ultimate Payment Wall which enables social network game developers to integrate support for over 50 payment options, including PayPal, credit cards and pre-paid game cards.

The payment wall enables online shoppers to buy applications or digital objects embedded in games or social networks with just one click and select the "relevant and familiar payment methods by their country and the convenience to pay in their local currency", eon.businesswire.com reports.

Of the 50 payment options the payment wall provides, 15 payment methods are supported for EU customers, including Ukash, Wallie-card, PayPoint, Maestro, Paysafecard, Carte Bleue, Spare Change, Zong, Paymo/Mobillcash, direct debit, PayPal, and Visa/Mastercard. Other mobile, game card, coupon, and voucher-based payment methods have also been included in order to cater to young shoppers. One of these methods is the Ultimate Game Card which is available in about 45,000 retail locations across North America. Spare Change, a payment services provider acquired by PlaySpan in April 2009 also contributed to the development of the payments product. Spare Change is used across 700 applications on social networks including Facebook, MySpace and Bebo.

Ultimate Payment Wall is available in over 30 countries, including the US, Canada, and the European Union.
