USA ePay, a payment processing gateway, has entered a partnership with US device identification services company ThreatMetrix to implement the latter’s Cloud-Based Fraud Prevention Platform.
Under the terms of the deal, ThreatMetrix will enable USA ePay to detect and prevent online fraud and abuse for its customers via its fraud prevention services which do not require personally identifiable information (PII). USA ePay is set to analyse each device ID to determine the proxy IP address, email address, true IP address and other key data to determine whether a specific log-in or payment transaction is legitimate or potentially fraudulent.
The ThreatMetrix Cloud-Based Fraud Prevention Platform is designed to enable banks, merchants, online businesses, payment gateways and payment providers to detect and screen for fraud.
In recent news, USA ePay has joined forces with CrossCheck, a US cheque approval and guarantee company, to integrate the latter's cheque services with the USA eCheck service.
