ElectraCard Services, a global provider of software solutions for electronic payment systems, has been granted Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) certification from the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council for its electraSWITCH product.

electraSWITCH is an EMV- compliant EFT (electonic funds transfer) authorisation and routing switching service designed to provide financial institutions with an integrated platform for processing transactions originating across delivery channels such as ATMs, POS or channels such as internet, mobile and IVR systems.

ElectraCard Services, a division of Opus Software Solutions, provides third party processing services for credit and payments management across the world. The company enables financial institutions, retailers, finance companies and corporations to electronically process any type of payment transaction, including credit, debit, pre-paid, smart cards, and ACH.

Recently, ElectraCard Services has become the first member of the MasterCard Prepaid initiative, a program which aims to brings together local processors and program managers with expertise in executing prepaid schemes in Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa for MasterCard customers.
