Western Union, Postal Savings Bank of China extend money transfer services agreement Friday 6 November 2009 | 11:06 AM CET

US-based money transfer services company Western Union has renewed its agreement with the Postal Savings Bank of China (PSBC) to provide Western Union Money Transfer services.

PSBC, which has been a Western Union Agent since 2001, currently operates over 20,000 locations offering Western Union Money Transfer services throughout China. PSBC's locations stretch beyond the major cities and into the country's rural regions, providing consumers with enhanced access to money transfer services.

Western Union, together with its Vigo, Orlandi Valuta and Pago Facil branded payment services, operates a combined network of more than 400,000 agent locations in 200 countries and territories. In 2008, The Western Union Company completed 188 million consumer-to-consumer transactions worldwide.
