US-based payment technology company Hypercom has entered a partnership with financial services provider Banco Nacional de Costa Rica (BNCR).

According to the agreement, Hypercom will authorize the bank to deploy more than 13,000 Hypercom Optimum countertop and mobile payment terminals for its merchant customers based in Costa Rica.

The card payment terminals and merchant field services will be provided by Evertec Latin America, an authorized distributor of Hypercom products in Costa Rica. The terminals include the countertop T4210 (dial) and T4220 (Ethernet with dial) and mobile M4230 GPRS, M4240 Bluetooth and M4100 Blade.

Established in 1914, BNCR activates through more than 165 branches across Costa Rica, covering various banking domains such as personal banking, business, corporate as well as institutional.
