Brazil: Diebold to supply CAIXA with 3,800 ATMs Friday 3 February 2012 | 03:13 PM CET

Automated teller machine (ATM) provider Diebold Brazil is set to supply 3,800 ATMs to Brazilian financial institution Caixa Economica Federal (CAIXA). The deal involves the supply, installation and on-site field maintenance of the ATMs.

Under the agreement, CAIXA has purchased the ATMs from Diebold Brazil to replace outdated machines. More than 3,500 ATMs are full-function terminals, with an additional 285 terminals that feature a cheque sheet printing function. Security features incorporated in the ATMs include fingerprint biometrics, anti-skimming technology and seismic sensors and systems.

Diebold Brazil is a business unit of US security systems company Diebold. The company provides services for banking automation to financial institutions as well as to the industry, commerce, government and healthcare segments.
