IBM has joined the Bank Industry Architecture Network (BIAN), a technology association focused on designing a service-oriented architecture standard in the financial industry.
As a result of this membership, IBM's vice president of financial services solutions, Chae An will also become a member of the BIAN's board of directors.
Since its launch in 2008, BIAN's mission has been to set a service-oriented architecture standard in the banking industry. In 2011, BIAN has rolled out the Service Landscape 1.5, a guide on how bank IT departments can use service-oriented architecture for their operations.
