MoneyGram continues expansion plans with Blue Dolphin acquisition Friday 26 February 2010 | 12:12 PM CET

Global money transfer company MoneyGram International has acquired Blue Dolphin Financial Services as part of the company's strategy to expand its retail network.

Currently, there are 18 Blue Dolphin locations in Belgium and the Netherlands. The initiative, along with the opportunities for payment institutions introduced by the European Union in November, are the foundation for MoneyGram's growth across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. MoneyGram's global network is comprised of 190,000 agent locations in more than 190 countries and territories.
