National Bank of Tajikistan, Compass Plus launch national processing centre Monday 30 January 2012 | 10:57 AM CET

Financial services provider National Bank of Tajikistan has launched its national processing centre in collaboration with US-based electronic funds transfer (EFT) technology developer Compass Plus.

With Compass Plus as its technology partner, the Tajikistan National processing centre gains access to banking services that include cash disbursement and acceptance, payment for goods and services, fund transfer options, performing banking operations via the Internet and mobile and SMS banking.

The processing centre delivers services to the country’s credit institutions that enable information processing, financial operations as well as clearing settlements in payment systems. Additionally, the centre connects ATMs and other terminals of the participating banks for issuing domestic and international bank cards, as well as for the interaction with other companies on the acceptance of payments for rendered services and for the connection to other processing centres that deliver services to the banks of Tajikistan.

In November 2011, Compass Plus launched TranzAxis, an open application development platform for the retail banking sector.
