First Data's STAR Network, a PIN-secured debit network which provides transaction processing services, has entered an agreement with financial institution Austin Telco Federal Credit Union.

As part of the deal, STAR will provide PIN-secured debit point-of-sale (POS) and ATM access to the credit union’s members. Other terms of the deal have not been disclosed yet.

With more than USD 1 billion in assets, Austin Telco serves members throughout the five-county Austin metro area. The credit union has 26 ATMs and 22 branch locations. STAR is an electronic funds transfer (EFT) networks, with more than 2 million retail and ATM locations.
