US cross-border payments services provider Travelex Global Business Payments and Fundtech, a provider of financial software products and services, are set to join forces to deliver an integrated foreign payment service for US financial institutions.

The partnership will provide financial institutions with a connection to Travelex's international wire payments platform via Fundtech's PAYplus USA platform for domestic wire transfers. The integrated international payment capability is aimed at banks and credit unions and looks to enable them to process payments, reduce errors and consolidate reporting options.

Fundtech's PAYplus USA is a platform which offers the combined advantage of executing domestic and foreign payments. In a recent development, Fundtech has entered a deal with Italian financial services provider Intesa Sanpaolo (ISP) to offer its Global CASHplus transaction banking system for ISP’s clients worldwide.

The partnership has been unveiled at the NACHA Payments 2011 conference which takes place between 3-6 April 2011 in Texas.
