Canada: Birks selects Moneris for online payments services

Tuesday 6 July 2010 11:52 CET | News

Moneris, a North American provider of payment processing services, has signed an agreement with Canadian jewelry manufacturer Birks to provide the latter with online payments services.

According to the agreement, Birks’ customers will be able to pay for the purchases made at birks.com using the Interac online payments application directly from their bank accounts. The payments service will be integrated with the client’s online bank account. Further on, transactions will be authorized within the client’s online banking website to avoid any sensitive financial information disclosure.

Founded in 2000, Moneris offers credit, debit, wireless and online payment services via more than 350,000 merchant locations throughout Canada.
