Israel-based web access services provider Trusteer has been selected by Tompkins Financial Corporation to provide its Trusteer Rapport, a security service set to protect data exchanged during online banking sessions including usernames, passwords and account information.

Trusteers Rapport security software is set to protect online transactions by monitoring browser processes so malware cannot log keystrokes, redirect the browser or inject transactions. The product is also set to prevent redirection to fraudulent websites and locks down communications during transmission.

In addition to the Trusteer Rapport, Tompkins Financial Corporation is also set to be using the Trusteer Situation Room (TSR). The service is set to provide information on fraudsters, their activities, the institutions they target, their methods for bypassing various security controls and techniques for blocking individual attacks.
