Wednesday 30 January 2013 11:19 CET | News

US-based online transaction security services provider Acculynk has joined the EMV Migration Forum, an independent cross-industry body created by the Smart Card Alliance to promote the migration to EMV-enabled cards, devices and terminals in the US.

The EMV Migration Forum supports the alignment of the EMV implementation steps required for global payment networks, regional payment networks, issuers, processors, merchants and consumers to move from magnetic stripe technology to secure EMV contact and contactless technology in the US.

The EMV Migration Forum is set to provide guidance on technical issues, consumer awareness as well as other issues related to industry-wide adoption of EMV, as well as develop best practices and educational material necessary for adoption of EMV-enabled cards, devices and terminals within the US market.

Acculynk provides a suite of software-only services backed by an authentication and encryption framework that provides security for issuers, EFT networks, merchants and payment processors.
