DataCash, TV App Agency to enable developers to monetise Smart TV apps

Global payment services provider DataCash (part of the MasterCard group) has partnered Smart TV app development consultancy company TV App Agency, to deliver Smart TV payment solutions.

As a result, DataCash will integrate its payment gateway into TV App Agency’s ‘TV App Engine’, enabling brands and application developers to accept payments through their applications. DataCash’s payment gateway will be integrated into the TV App Engine, allowing brands and developers to accept different payment types and process transactions in multiple currencies within their apps.

The ‘TV App Engine’ provides brands and application developers with a single platform that allows the development of one application that can be generated to work across many different Smart TV brands including Samsung, LG, Phillips, Sony, Panasonic and OperaTV as well as Sony PlayStation 4 and Xbox.

DataCash Group provides multi-channel global payment processing services and fraud prevention and risk management solutions to merchants and banks. The company enables customers to accept and process payments in over 177 currencies, from over 45 brands across e-commerce, m-commerce channels and cardholder present channels.
