US-based commerce platform FreedomPay has entered an alliance with Microsoft Corporation to launch Payments Platform as a service.

The cloud-based payments and incentives solution uses the FreedomPay Commerce Platform to deliver mobile payments, offers, digital wallet and commerce solutions.

FreedomPay Payments Platform is an e-commerce services provider for in-store, web, and mobile by interconnecting POS systems, transaction hosts and incentive engines. The FreedomPay Commerce Platform includes mobile payments and incentive technologies that work with live POS systems, a gateway that transmits transaction data and security tools.

In recent news, FreedomPay has appointed Rodney Bowen-Wright as Chief Business Development Officer. Reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer, Tom Durovsik, Bowen-Wright will focus on customer and market development, in addition to spearheading the strategic relationship with Microsoft and its operating divisions.
