Japan: Base acquires Pureca for payments processing capabilities

Base, a DIY marketplace for merchants who want to sell online, has acquired the payments processor Pureca.

The payments service provider has now been rebranded to Pay.jp and offers its services to Base’s 150,000 online shops in its network. Via the partnership, customers can pay with Pay.jp, in addition to the option of paying with a credit card or bank transfer.
