MasterPass extends global acceptance footprint

MasterPass, the digital platform from MasterCard, has been adopted by new retailers including Beyond the Rack, Currys, lastminute.com, Newegg and PC World.

With MasterPass, customers can store MasterCard and other branded credit, debit and prepaid card information, address books without the need to enter detailed shipping and card information to complete their online shopping at MasterPass merchant websites.

MasterPass is currently deployed or is set to be deployed in the US, Canada, UK and Australia and by the end of 2013 in Brazil, Belgium, France, Italy, Singapore, Sweden and Spain.

In recent news, MasterCard has partnered 16 Australian payment service providers to deliver MasterPass as a digital payment option to their merchant and enterprise customers.
