Moneybookers signs up 10 millionth customer to its eWallet

European online payments systems provider Moneybookers announces that it has registered its 10 millionth customer to its eWallet product (up 64% year-on-year).

The eWallet enables customers to make online payments without disclosing personal financial details, as well as send and receive money transfers by using an email address.

The companys e-commerce transaction volume jumped by 120 percent, while its online merchant base has increased from 35,000 to over 60,000 online shops which integrated its payment system, including eBay.com, Playfish and Thomas Cook. Moneybookers payment network offers businesses access to over 80 payment methods in more than 200 countries.
