Payoneer receives European Union E-Money license

Payoneer EU, a wholly-owned subsidiary of global payment services provider Payoneer, has secured an Electronic Money license in Europe.

Payoneer EU recently received an E-money license that was pass ported across all of the member states of the European Union and was granted a license to be a member issuer of MasterCard, allowing the company to issue MasterCard branded cards.

In addition, Payoneer has expanded its management team to support the company’s global growth. Oded Zehavi has joined as Chief Revenue Officer. Zehavi is responsible for Payoneer’s sales, marketing and product activities globally. He previously served as the business development director for PayPal, where among other responsibilities he led the inception of the PayPal services in the Middle East and Africa and overall business growth within the region. He also previously held leadership roles at several technology, banking and software companies, focusing on sales and customer relations.

Howard Gibbs has joined Payoneer as the Managing Director of Payoneer EU. Howard has experience in financial services with past leadership roles at MBNA and other card and payments companies.

Payoneer enables companies of all sizes to send and receive payments including prepaid debit cards, deposits to local banks worldwide, international wire transfers, mobile payments, global and local e-wallets and local-currency paper checks.
