Phillipines: Xoom teams up with over-the-counter bills payment center

Xoom Corporation, a US-based digital money transfer provider, has teamed up with Bayad Center, an over-the-counter multiple bills payment center in the Philippines, to provide international money transfer services at Bayad Center locations throughout the Philippines.

Under the terms of the agreement, Xoom customers can send money for cash pickup at 200 Bayad Center locations. The addition of Bayad Center increases Xoom cash pick up locations to 13,500 in the Philippines.

In recent news, Xoom Corporation has launched a text update service to money transfer recipients in the Philippines so they are notified when their money is available.
