Thursday 12 July 2012 15:25 CET | News

sofortbanking, a direct payment method from Payment Network AG in Germany, has entered an agreement with SecureTrading, a UK-based online payment processor, to enable merchants to offer their customers bank-to-bank transfers online, allowing payments without the customer’s registering or using a card.

Via this partnership, both companies will be able to expand into new markets and provide merchants with an alternative to traditional card payments.

SecureTrading‘s online card payment service enables its customers to accept credit cards, debit cards and other payment methods such as PayPal and Ukash online. The company also provides a suite of counter-fraud services ranging from 3-D Secure, CVV2 and AVS to SecureTrading Fraud Score and SecureTrading Identity Check.

sofortbanking allows consumers to trigger a credit transfer during an online purchase with consumer’s online banking information. A transfer order is confirmed to the merchant allowing delivery of goods and services. More than 25,000 e-merchants are currently offering sofortbanking in eight different countries.
