Ukash taps into Ukrainian market via partnership with PrivatBank

Ukash, the UK voucher-based prepaid online payment services provider, has concluded an agreement with commercial bank PrivatBank to introduce its e-cash product on the Ukrainian market.

Under the terms of the deal, Ukash will be available via the PrivatBank channels in the Ukraine including over the counter in 3,500 bank branches and online using the Privat24 online and mobile banking service, as well as at 6,800 ATMs and 1,800 self-service kiosks located in public areas. Customers can also purchase Ukash payment vouchers at 55,000 shops in the Ukraine via PrivatBank’s network of POS card processing terminals. The company has also announced that Smart Voucher is working alongside the bank and Skype to facilitate the SkypeCredit program in the country.

In related news, Ukash announced the expansion of its online issuing service to 22 countries.
PrivatBank operates in Russia, Georgia, Latvia, Portugal and Cyprus.
