US Digital Transactions, SignatureLink to launch new form of payment transaction

Thursday 9 December 2010 11:26 CET | News

Payment technology company US Digital Transactions and SignatureLink, a US provider of electronic signature capture services, have formed a partnership.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will cooperate to create CNPS, a new form of payment transaction for the online retail industry. Currently in beta development, the new e-commerce hybrid payment type will be developed under the form of a signature-based Card-Not-Present (CNP) transaction with promise-to-pay features. In addition, the technology is set to integrate with all existing PCI-compliant e-commerce applications and payment gateways.

Founded in 2005, SignatureLink enables customers to accept legally binding electronic signatures online. The company operates a web-based CNPS transaction platform which incorporates biometric, wet-signature equivalent technology. The technology has been designed to enable the capture of electronic signatures over the internet for a variety of applications such as online point of sale transactions, electronic agreements, mobile devices as well as remote authorizations.
