WePay, Layered Tech partner for cloud services

Online payments startup WePay has entered an agreement with Layered Technologies, a global provider of compliant hosting and cloud computing services.

Under the terms of the agreement, WePay has selected Layered Tech’s PCI-compliant cloud services to support its online payment platform.

Layered Tech delivers IT services aimed at protecting sensitive data and credit card transactions. In addition to managing security and compliance requirements, Layered Tech has recently added Compliance Guaranteed to its service-level agreement (SLA).

WePay provides a range of tools which allow people to sell items and tickets, send invoices and accept donations online. WePay is backed by investors and payment entrepreneurs, including August Capital, Max Levchin (the founder of PayPal), Ron Conway (early investor in Google, Facebook and Twitter) and Eric Dunn (former CTO and CFO of Intuit).
