CBA introduces EMV-enabled ATMs

Tuesday 22 November 2011 13:57 CET | News

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) has teamed up with Wincor Nixdorf, a global provider of transaction and payment services for the banking and retail markets and Armaguard Group, the Australian cash delivery and collection services provider, to replace its 4100 ATM fleet with EMV chip-enabled machines.

The new ATMs have incorporated an audition support for vision impaired customers and also present a series of features which allow users to personalise their settings. In addition, the Wincor Nixdorf machines will also provide a new deposit functionality enabling customers to deposit cash and cheques.

In recent news, CBA has rolled out Everyday Settlement, a payment service which enables business customers to access funds from their CBA merchant terminals the same day the transaction is made, media outlet cio.com reports.
