Mountain America Credit Union taps ProPay for new loan payment capabilities

Monday 27 September 2010 10:24 CET | News

ProPay, a US-based provider of credit card processing and electronic payment services, has signed an agreement with US-based financial services provider Mountain America Credit Union (MACU) to provide the latter’s members with loan payments services.

Under the deal, ProPay will enable MACU borrowers to make house payments, car payments or fund accounts using any Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express card, via the LenderPay service. Designed exclusively for bank and credit union lenders, the service includes PCI DSS compliant capabilities, set to encrypt sensitive customer data directly from the customer in order to prevent cardholder data from entering a merchant’s system.

Recently, ProPay has released the ProtectPay Online Virtual Terminal (OVT), an application that enables merchants to store their customers’ payment data in the ProtectPay Vault and also use the information for repeat billing and ongoing business transactions. The initiative extends the data security and compliance benefits of ProPay’s payment services to small and medium-sized businesses, including the sole proprietor or home business.

ProPay is Level 1 Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant.
