Friday 10 December 2010 10:04 CET | News

Financial services provider Rabobank, a subsidiary of Dutch banking consortium Rabobank Group, has signed an agreement with Germany-based business technology company Inform.

Under the terms of the deal, Rabobank will be authorized to use Inform’s RiskShield product in order to be able to monitor payment transactions as well as internet banking sessions in a systematic approach.

The RiskShield application has been designed to enable financial institutions to tackle potential fraud in payment transactions and virtual channels, such as internet banking. The application is based on several detection systems which are set to provide fraud specialists with an overview of all the banking processes as well as with the ability to trace and stop a fraudulent payment if necessary.

Recently, Belgium-based payments technology provider Clear2Pay has entered a partnership with Rabobank for the provision and implementation of a bank wide payments hub powered by the Open Payment Framework (OPF).
