Ria Financial Services, Grupo Elektra partner for network expansion in Mexico

Global money transfer company Ria Financial Services (a subsidiary of Euronet Worldwide) has entered a partnership with Latin American financial services provider and specialty retailer Grupo Elektra to expand its payout network in Mexico.

RIA Financial Services provides global consumer-to-consumer money transfer services through a sending network of agents and company-owned stores, disbursing money transfers via a worldwide payer network across 136 countries. In addition to money transfer services, Ria provides bill payment, mobile top-ups, prepaid debit cards, cheque cashing and money orders.

Grupo Elektra has two main businesses: the financial business and the commercial business. The company targets in the Latin America’s middle class, providing products in electronics, house hold appliances, furniture, motorcycles, tires, cell phones, computers, electronic money transfers and other.
In recent news, Western Union has entered a partnership with Grupo Elektra to provide money transfer services in Mexico under a non-exclusive basis.
