Western Union expands money transfer network in Mexico

Western Union has expanded its money transfer network in Mexico by entering an agreement with financial institution Banco Ahorro Famsa.

As a result, Western Union’s global money transfer service will be available across 300 Banco Ahorro Famsa locations in Mexico starting November 2012. In addition, the bank will offer consumers Vigo and Orlandi Valuta services.

Over the last century Western Union has remained committed to the Mexico market, providing dependable financial services. Grupo Famsa offers financial services which include money, mortgage loans, credit cards and investments.

In recent news, Western Union has launched its international money transfer services in El Salvador in collaboration with Luxembourg-based mobile services provider Tigo, a subsidiary of the telecommunication group Millicom International Cellular.
