Acquirer Systems joins the EMV Migration Forum

Tuesday 5 February 2013 10:59 CET | News

Acquirer Systems, an Irish provider of software services to the payment card industry, has joined the EMV Migration Forum, an independent cross-industry body created by the Smart Card Alliance to promote the migration to EMV-enabled cards, devices and terminals in the US.

Acquirer Systems is joining the EMV Migration Forum as the company further develops a local presence in the US market to support the industry in making the step-change from magnetic stripe to chip card technology. As part of its commitment to the Forum, Acquirer Systems is leading a group of industry participants to identify EMV testing and certification issues specific to participants in the US payments market.

Acquirer Systems was founded in 1997 and currently has more than 80 installations across the US, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. In March 2012, Acquirer Systems opened a North American business unit to support its customers across the US and Canada.
