Banamex, Ingenico team up for contactless payments in Mexico

French-based provider of payment services Ingenico is set to support, along with financial institution Banco Nacional de México, Banamex, the deployment of the new contactless payment technology.

Banamex is set to use the Ingenico payment terminals: countertop iCT220 and iCT250, portable iWL220 and the PIN Pad iPP320.

This initiative will allow retailers from the different sectors to accept contactless cards recently issued in the country.

In recent news, French retailer Auchan Group, Ingenico and financial services provider Credit Mutuel-CIC group have launched their common card payment solution pilot based on SEPA standards in France, in an Auchan store.
