Blackhawk, Microsoft team up for the launch of Xbox Live prepaid cards

Blackhawk Network, a provider of third-party gift cards in the US and Canada, has entered an agreement with Microsoft for its Xbox LIVE service on the Xbox 360.

Under the terms of the deal, customers will be able to purchase Xbox LIVE Gold Subscription and Microsoft Points Cards from Blackhawk Networks Gift Card Mall and use them to download gaming and entertainment content.

Consumers can purchase Xbox LIVE prepaid cards by visiting their local grocer and looking for the Gift Card Mall display. Xbox LIVE cards are available in denominations of USD 19.99 for 1600 Microsoft Points or a three month Gold Subscription; and USD 49.99 for 4000 Microsoft Point or a 12 month Gold Subscription.

Blackhawk Network delivers its products to consumers via a retail network of grocery, mass, convenience, drug and specialty retailers. Microsofts online multiplayer gaming and digital media delivery service Xbox LIVE has over 20 million members.
