Clear2Pay, FIME to assist US payment industry with EMV migration

Monday 16 July 2012 14:33 CET | News

Clear2Pay, the international technology provider of payment solutions for financial institutions, clearing and settlement companies and corporates, and FIME, a French provider of consulting and market integration testing services for smart devices and secure chip-based applications, have extended their partnership to support US financial institutions and processors with their migration to the EMV standard.

Both companies have already been working closely for several years in delivering payment testing services and EMV certification assistance in Europe and other EMV territories.

Globally, a large number of countries have already adopted the technology and many more are in different stages of their migration. According to a recent research by ATMIA, the ATM Industry Association, 75 percent of respondents do not yet have a clear roadmap for EMV migration or insight into the cost associated with migration. A US adoption of this global payment system provides security over magnetic stripe cards, worldwide acceptance of card payments and the ability to launch new added value applications. Moreover, implementing EMV technology will help accelerate the uptake of mobile and contactless payment applications.

Clear2Pay is a financial technology company focused on providing financial services institutions with electronic payments technology. Clear2Pay operates in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, Senegal, United States, Australia, China, Malaysia and Singapore.
