Collis Terminal FTT qualifies for Dual Interface

Friday 30 September 2011 15:43 CET | News

Dutch smart card-based electronic transaction systems manufacturer Collis has announced that their Terminal Functional Test Tool (FTT) meets the Dual Interface (DI) specifications promulgated by Canada’s Interac Association.

Collis Terminal FTT has qualified for the implementation of the ‘Reader Terminal Interoperability and Confidence Test Guide’.

This guide ensures that a terminal which supports both contact and contactless interfaces is in compliance with the DI specifications that all Interac Association members must meet.

As such, Collis Terminal FTT detects the interoperability issues before a terminal is deployed in the field and reduces the time to market. The log files generated by the terminal are sent directly to Interac Association for DI certification.

When it comes to contact interface, Collis Terminal FTT supports the ‘Acquirer Test Package’ and the ‘Terminal Application Tests’.

In May 2011, Collis Brand Test Tool and Collis Card Simulator have been qualified by MasterCard as Validation Tools for the formal TIP (Terminal Integration Testing) certification process for contact mode.
