Wednesday 23 September 2009 13:13 CET | News

German credit card acceptance and payment processing company Deutsche Card Services, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, has expanded its range of stationary point-of-sale (POS) card payment services.

In addition to the existing service of credit card acceptance in the stationary POS business, Deutsche Card Services will also provide payment terminals and the national card payment methods girocard (formerly electronic cash), direct debit and GeldKarte (German chip based electronic purse system) on the German market.

Deutsche Card Services is looking to provide POS services that are not limited to the German market. The company has thus announced plans to introduce the additional services in main Western European markets in the near future, allowing clients to avoid problems associated with having to use individual, national solutions with a number of different systems, terminals and service levels.
