GE Capital Retail Consumer Finance, Meijer expand credit card program

GE Capital Retail Consumer Finance, a consumer lending division of General Electric Company, has renewed its credit card program with US retailer Meijer for another five years.

The two companies started to collaborate in 2003, when the the first private label credit card program for Meijer was introduced. Their relationship expanded with the launch of a general purpose Meijer MasterCard and a prepaid card program both accepted at establishments outside of Meijer’s.
The credit card program features a first purchase discount, as well as monthly sale events. The Meijer MasterCard also provides cardholders with rewards on purchases made at Meijer and other retailers.

GE Capital Retail Consumer Finance is a retail credit provider with over USD 30 billion in assets and over 40 million account holders. Meijer operates 190 supercenters in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.
