Inside Secure, CPI Card Group unveil MasterCard M/Chip Advance EMV card products in the US

French contactless and NFC technology developer Inside Secure and commercial card production services CPI Card Group (CPI) have unveiled that two new jointly developed M/Chip Advance EMV card products have been approved by MasterCard.

For issuers who want to use these products, US-based ID and card personalisation services company Datacard Group is providing a hardware and software personalization solutions, as well as personalization scripts.

One product has been optimized to support online-only EMV card programs, while the other supports both online and offline payment transactions. Both products can be supplied on cards with gold and palladium contact plates with either six or eight contacts.

In recent news, Inside Secure has unveiled that its MicroRead near field communication (NFC) controller chip is supported in the Linux kernel 3.9 release.
